Angel Heart Farm enriches the lives of children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses including: all Cancers, Brain Tumors, Arthritis, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disease, Heart and Liver Disease and Transplant, Hemophilia, Kidney Disease, Sickle Cell Anemia, Immunology Deficiencies/HIV and any other life-threatening illnesses referred by a physician.

Founded and operated by Tracy Kujawa, a horse lover and cancer survivor, Angel Heart Farm was built on the power and support given to Tracy by her beloved Arabian mare, Khuryia, during her life-threatening illness.

"This life-changing experience challenged me to create a program
that would reach far into the lives of ill children and provide a sanctuary
of peace and joy."

And that is exactly what Angel Heart Farm is all about.

"Our mission is to provide a safe environment for animal therapy to improve the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses."

Angel Heart Farm, Inc., is Middle Tennessee's only non-profit therapeutic program that uses equine-assisted therapy for children and their families. The program empowers these children to be proactive caregivers rather than powerless, reactive care recipients, a role that has been forced on them due to their illness.

"Studies have shown that pet therapy can improve one's mental and physical health, shorten recovery time and decrease stress and incidents of depression in both children and adults. Through interaction with animals, children are empowered to become care-givers instead of care-recipients."

Angel Heart Farm believes that communion with animals, in addition to music, art and nature, can have a lasting healing on the heart, body and mind of all individuals...children and grown-ups alike! While a child cannot control an illness, he or she can take pride in controlling an 1,000 pound horse!

When a child is seriously ill, the entire family is affected. So, the Angel Heart Farm program encourages families and siblings to participate alongside their loved one, so that the experience can be one of healing for everyone.
